We hold a vision of a world that is continually expanding in its capacity to express kindness, compassion and wisdom. As a non-profit organization, all of our activities, practices and educational programs are focused on this vision. We offer Buddhist training, a welcoming community and a place of spiritual refuge.
Generosity is a natural outward expression of an inner attitude of compassion. It's love in action.
At Dharma Refuge we endeavor to make our programs accessible to everyone*, recognizing that at different stages and times in life, our needs and our means don't always align with each other. If you find this is your situation, and you would like to attend one of our tuition-based programs, we invite you place yourself on the registration list. Here is what you need to do:
* Full & Partial Scholarship vs. Limited Scholarship
Full and Partial Scholarship: All programs offered at our Dharma Center by our resident teacher Sue Kochan qualify for Full & Partial Scholarship. We ask you to define what works for you and let us know, following the instructions above.
Limited Scholarships: When a program offers Limited Scholarships this will be noted on the program page. Occasionally our programs (like residential retreats and retreats with visiting teachers) have fixed costs associated with them. For these programs, our ability to offer full-scholarships will be variable. We encourage you to email us and we will be in touch about matching our scholarship funds with the requests that come in. Please make these requests as far in advance as possible by emailing our program coordinator, so that we can best support everyone.
It’s important to us that this program be available to everyone who is interested. Why? Because we hold a vision of a world that is continually expanding in its capacity to express kindness, compassion and wisdom. All of our activities, practices and educational programs are focused on this vision. Everyone is invited practice generosity and share in this vision, either by receiving the training and assistance we offer or by making a tax deductible contribution to our scholarship fund.
