Weekend Retreat, May 3-4 (details below) |
A weekend retreat to nourish your innate qualities of compassion, joy, and wisdom through meditation and teachings with Anam Thubten Rinpoche.
No previous meditation or Dharma experience is needed. Everyone is welcome to be a part of this community (sangha) weekend as we engage the meditative path of coming home to ourselves and experiencing inner freedom. There are three important aspects of meditation: mindful attention, open awareness and lovingkindness. By practicing these, we can let go of negative mental patterns and expand our heart and mind, bringing about joy, peace and inner freedom. Anam Thubten will teach and guide participants in developing these three aspects of meditation and share Buddhist wisdom on working with our thoughts and emotions. All registrants are asked to attend the full retreat.
All registrants are asked to attend the full retreat. Vow Ceremony at the close of retreat (optional) Sunday, in the late afternoon, Rinpoche will offer a fellowship ceremony, where participants will be invited to take refuge and bodhisattva vows. While not a required part of the retreat, it's a wonderful opportunity to deepen your practice and commitment. |
