The Buddha was asked if community or Sangha is "half of the holy life" and he replied, "it is all of the holy life." Sangha or community is a rich support for spiritual practice. We cherish our sense of community at Dharma Refuge and we always welcome anyone with an interest in Meditation and or Buddhist practice.
In addition to our weekly meditation practices we offer a number of events specifically to nurture our sense of community. These include regular “Dharma Drive-ins” and monthly “tea and visiting with the sangha.” See our weekly practice schedule for specific dates and times.
The sangha is a community where there should be harmony and peace and understanding. That is something created by our daily life together. If love is there in the community, if we've been nourished by the harmony in the community, then we will never move away from love.
